I have heard nothing but great things about this book on having Parkinson’s disease, written by a guy with PD himself. Offering a fresh look at the ‘funny’ side of PD, the author tells of his experiences with the disease and the ability of finding the humor in it. And… there definitely can be humor in it.

HOPE is a book written by Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation board member Hal Newsom. Through his years of living with Parkinson’s Hal has developed a very positive mindset. His first experiences with PD were rocky- poor diagnosis, doctors without sensitivity, and an almost total lack of information. He found that most others he has met with PD had similar experiences, and this book will help to set a new path. What he has learned through his time with PD has given him hope, and it can do so for you and your family and friends, too.Hal published the book with the intention that all proceeds go to benefit the Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation. Copies of the book can be ordered directly from the NWPF for $12, plus $2 shipping and handling per copy.
